A skin barrier care routine for skin that feels sensitive

When skin feels tight, dry or easily upset, a skin barrier care routine works best with fewer, gentler steps. Start with the Pyunkang Yul Calming Deep Moisture Toner, a mild, low pH toner with hyaluronic acid and centella that hydrates without a heavy feel. Pat it in with your hands rather than rubbing with a cotton pad.

Next comes the Jumiso D-Panthenol Barrier Soothing Serum. This light, watery serum uses panthenol to boost hydration and support the skin barrier, and it calms the look of redness on contact. Close with the Dr.Althea 147 Barrier Cream, a rich but comfortable cream with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and centella. It helps keep moisture from escaping and eases the feeling of tightness and roughness. In the morning, add sunscreen on top.

How long until my skin feels calmer?

Many people find skin feels more comfortable soon after switching to a gentler routine. Keep the steps the same for a few weeks before adding anything new.

Should I patch test, even with soothing products?

Yes, especially if you have sensitive skin. Apply a small amount behind the ear or on the inner arm for 24-48 hours and stop use if irritation occurs.

How do I know which products are right for my skin?

Shop by concern, skin type or ingredient, or come in for a free skin consultation at our Boca Raton store, 225 E Palmetto Park Road, open daily 10am-8pm.
