V Cut Blending Shading is Dasique's contour palette, made in a Warm Blending and a Cool Blending version. This is 01 Warm Blending: three brown powders pressed into one compact in a V-shaped layout, split by depth into a light tone (Skin Brown), a mid tone (Soft Brown) and a deep tone (Warm Brown) so the shading can be built up step by step.

The brand describes the powder as light and soft with a blurring texture that blends easily and lays down evenly, even when it is layered several times. Skin Brown is a subtle brown close to skin tone meant for blending with the other two, Soft Brown is a mid-tone warm brown with the redness taken out, and Warm Brown adds the deeper shadow.

How to use it

  1. Load the brushPick up a moderate amount of powder on a brush.
  2. Sweep softlySweep it gently over the skin.
  3. Shade with the deep toneDasique suggests placing the darkest tone in the hollows of the cheeks and along the jawline for a more sculpted look.
  4. Finish with mid and lightUse the mid and light tones on the higher areas of the face, such as the cheeks and the bridge of the nose.
